Short Film Project 1

In Year 1, the first ever film project that we had to required us to form groups and the theme was surrounded around bilingualism as we had clients from the 'Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism'. After around 2-3 months of working together, me and my group produced our first ever short film in Temasek Polytechnic, 'Now I Know!', written and directed by me. Since it was my first ever film project and the first time ever being a director, with the little experience I had, I wrote and refined the script many times to suit the theme of bilingualism and made sure the story aligned with what our clients wanted. I overlooked the entire process, communicating my vision to the crew and also directing the actors on set.

Through this experience, I truly learnt the essence of filmmaking and how it was like working on a film for the very first time. Although I made many mistakes on the way, I think it is through these faults, that I grew stronger as a filmmaker.
