Short Film Project 2

During our 2nd year, we formed new groups for this new project and were tasked a horror/thriller film. As the producer, I planned the budget of this film from scratch and handled the money matters, trying to save cost for the group as much as possible. I dealt with money matters, contributions from the team and crowd funding. I made sure our schedules aligned, contacting the multiple locations and dealing with lots of paperwork too.

However, as the producer, I was met with many challenges along the way, not just schedules, budgets and logistics wise, but also with the management of the team. My team had many disagreements, as well as communication issues and as the producer, I thought that I should step in to mediate and help the group come to a decision. Although I felt that the end product of 'Vessel' could have been way better, I think that the setbacks I faced and lessons I learnt through this project made it all worth it in the end.
