In my school's studio production module, we learnt about how live broadcasting works and also the different roles that work together to make the broadcasted content happen. My role in this project was the vision mixer, where I switch between multiple camera feeds on command, overlay texts or graphics (e.g: lower-thirds) and add effects and transitions (e.g: fades or wipes). But not only did I do my role, but I also contributed to the overall story, like suggesting ideas in the script, and also help in retrieving the props (old military props from a Singapore prop house). Since the vision mixer and director have to communicate alot during takes, I collaborated well with my director teammate, adapting to the different workstyles we have. All in all, I learnt the importance of teamwork in this project and worked my way through this journey, to be a better communicator and team member.
